Landscape contractor Jenn Nawada tells us why she loves being outside so much. While some aspects of her job keep her at the drafting table indoors, she can’t wait to get outside and enjoy a hike, work in the fresh air, or spend time with her dog, Moby.
She Can’t Always Be Outdoors
Part of landscape contractor Jenn Nawada’s job involves designing and drawing projects for clients so they can visualize the potential project. This keeps her indoors and at her drafting desk. But, when the homeowner approves her drawing, she can’t wait to get outside and get to work.
Jenn Feels Better Outside
Jenn loves being outside. She says it’s where she feels good. She loves the feeling of everything calming down and getting a “reset” from the great outdoors. In her opinion, everyone should spend time outdoors so they can enter their reset state.
Nature is Full of Patterns
Jenn knows that nature is full of patterns and designs. From leaves to branches to silhouettes of trees, she gets her inspiration from the different elements she sees on her hikes with her dog, Moby. She then incorporates those patterns or elements into her designs to mimic nature.
Bringing People Outside—That’s Jenn’s Goal
Jenn loves it outside so much that her entire goal is to get people outside and enjoying nature in their own backyards. For that reason, she believes in following nature’s lead, knowing that it always knows best.
Where to find it?
Jenn shares why she loves hiking and how nature inspires her landscape designs.
