In this one, we’ll talk about how some vintage amps had power transformers that were under spec, so they won’t provide enough voltage to the power tubes to bias to full dissipation. We’ll also look at the best places to ground a virtual center tap to elevate heaters. In this case, I found it was the phase inverter cathode, not the output tube cathodes.
