I made a movie! For Episode 273 of Mike Finnegan’s Garage we chopped this footage down to two-plus hours and it is still just barely enough time to convey the rollercoaster of emotions my friends and I experienced during a weekend of racing. It began with the transmission in the ramp truck blowing up. We broke the input shaft and smoked the Third gear clutch while towing our all-steel 30ft trailer with the dragboat inside and a Kawasaki Mule UTV on the back of the Chevy Squarebody ramp truck. When we finally arrived at Wildhorse Pass Motorsports Park in Chandler, Arizona, things went from bad to worse as everything under the sun fought us as we desperately tried to stay in competition. In the end we had fun and made memories but it wasn’t easy!
